STEROIDS - AN OVERVIEW

Animal steroids include compounds of vertebrate and insect origin, the latter together with ecdysteroids for example ecdysterone (managing molting in some species). Vertebrate examples involve the steroid hormones and cholesterol; the latter is often a structural component of mobile membranes that helps ascertain the fluidity of cell membranes whic
